It provides the detailed elements necessary to reconstruct the evolution of the physical landscape of a section of the Central Appennino. The term “contaminated site” refers to all areas where, following previous or current human activities, an alteration of the land, surface and underground waters has been certified with concentrations exceeding standards established by regulations.
The safeguarding of the Venice Lagoon is mainly focused on the interventions for the defense of all the lagoon inhabitated areas from the phenomena of high water. The regulation of tides levels will be realised through four rows of mobile barriers, which will be able to isolate temporarily the lagoon from the sea during high tide events that overcome a certain quota (Moses System).
